New Runway opened at Odesa Airport UKOO ODS

Starting from 16th July 2021 new runway
opened for landings at Odessa airport.
During the presentation it accepted first landing of internal flight PQ107 Boryspil-Odessa by SkyUp Airlines.
The aircraft was greeted by water salute.

This new runway was built during 31 months. Its lenght 2800 m, width 45 m.
The reconstruction plan of Odessa airport also includes the lengthening of the new strip up to 3200 meters,
but this will happen not earlier than in 2024.

The old runway was used for more than 60 years and it was built in 1961 at the beginning of jet flights era.
